Sheryl spent years working in the technology industry before deciding it was time for a career change. Most of that time was dedicated to marketing and implementing software for local and state government entities at a national company that grosses over a half a billion dollars in annual revenue. Her experience advising and serving public sector clients in their accounting and financial needs has been invaluable in the transition to advising and serving individuals and families with their financial and real estate needs. Managing a team that guided clients through the process of implementing complex software applications allowed her to hone organizational and leadership skills with emphasis on strategic planning, creative problem-solving, process efficiency, and customer service.
Sheryl is a native Texan. She moved to Chicago in 1998 and spent ten years there working with clients across the country before returning to Texas in 2008 to be closer to family. Sheryl is on the Board of three non-profit organizations and the Treasurer of one. She and her husband, Glen, currently live in Lubbock where they enjoy spending time with family, volunteering at the Lubbock Dream Center and their local church, and making annual mission trips to Central America.
