SHERYL AKIN, REALTOR®, GRI, SRES®
Sheryl spent a significant portion of her professional life working in the technology industry. Most of that time was dedicated to marketing and implementing public sector software for a Fortune 500 international software company. Managing a team that guided clients through the process of implementing and executing complex software applications allowed her to hone organizational and leadership skills with emphasis on creative problem-solving, process efficiency, and customer service. Sheryl's experience advising and serving public sector clients in their accounting and financial needs has been invaluable in the transition to advising and serving individuals and families with their financial, insurance, and real estate needs.
Sheryl is a native Texan but has had the incredible opportunity of traveling to 48 of our 50 states! She moved to Chicago in 1998 and spent ten years there working with clients around the country before returning to Texas in 2008 to be closer to family. Sheryl is on the Board of two non-profit organizations in Lubbock, Texas, where she and her husband, Glen, currently live. Any time not spent working is dedicated to family, curled up with a good book, church activities, and – when opportunity allows – a little backyard gardening.
